
Dr. Basant is a Pediatric and Neonatal Registrar with clinical experience in Egypt and Kuwait. She holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery and a Master’s in Pediatrics from Alexandria University, Egypt.
She completed her residency training in pediatrics and neonatal care at Alexandria University Children’s Hospital and El-Anfoshy Pediatric Hospital, Egypt. She later worked as a Neonatologist at Alex Specialized Hospital and as a Pediatric and Neonatal Specialist at El-Anfoshy Pediatric Hospital, gaining strong experience in the management of newborns and children.
In Kuwait, Dr. Basant served currently as a Pediatric and Neonatal Registrar at Kuwait Hospital, where she is involved in the diagnosis and management of a wide range of pediatric and neonatal conditions. She has expertise in neonatal medicine and general pediatrics, with a focus on comprehensive child and newborn care.
Diagnosing and managing preterm, low birth weight, and very low birth weight infants
Diagnosing and managing respiratory distress syndrome (RDS), including surfactant therapy
