Dr. Jassem Bastaki is an American Board-certified Oral and Maxillofacial Pathologist with extensive expertise in head, neck, and endocrine pathology. He holds a Doctorate in Dental Medicine, a Master’s in Public Health, and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Pittsburgh, where he also completed a specialized fellowship in Head, Neck, and Endocrine Pathology.
Dr. Jassem has held positions at leading institutions in the U.S., including the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC), Emmert Dental Associates, and Allegheny General Hospital. Since 2012, he has been practicing in Kuwait, currently serving at Kuwait Cancer Control Center, Jabir Hospital, and Adan Specialty Dental Center.
Diagnose and review biopsies and specimens from the head and neck region
Handle samples from oral cavity, jaws, sinonasal tract, throat, facial skin and soft tissues
Evaluate biopsies from salivary glands, thyroid and parathyroid glands
Perform biopsies in the clinic for accurate diagnosis
Diagnose and manage chronic face, head and neck pain
Diagnose and treat ordal lesions and diseases
Diagnose and manage salivary gland disorders
Assist in identifying systemic diseases with oral manifestations
Diagnose and manage facial and scalp skin conditions
Diagnose and contribute to the management of oral cancer
