Dr Maha Anbar is a Specialist Physician in Spondylitis, Rheumatology and Internal Medicine at both Kuwait Hospital and Jaber Al-Ahmad Hospital, with UK, Canadian and American board certifications.
Dr Anbar completed her Internal Medicine residency at Queens University in Canada. She followed this with a Rheumatology fellowship, as well as an additional clinical fellowship in Spondylitis at the University of Toronto. She has a special interest in medical education and has won teaching excellence awards, and is the site coordinator for Kuwaiti Board of Internal Medicine (KBIM) at Jaber Al-Ahmad Hospital. She is the chairperson of Kuwait Association of Rheumatologists Media Committee, and she represents Kuwait at Arab League Association for Rheumatologists (ArLAR) media committee. She is also Kuwait’s young rheumatologist ambassador at the Asia-Pacific League of Association for Rheumatologists (APLAR).
