What is IVF?

In-vitro fertilization is a process of fertilization where a mature egg or ovum is retrieved from a woman’s ovaries and then fertilized with a sperm in a laboratory in a culture medium.

The fertilized embryo is then carefully transferred to the uterus to grow and develop into a fetus.
